Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy: New Frontiers in Individual and Organizational Pathologies

"New Frontiers in Individual and Organizational Pathologies Conference" will be an exceptional opportunity to learn and share ideas with three of the most outstanding professionals in the field: Otto Kernberg, John Steiner and Anton Obholzer. Otto Kernberg will discuss current trends on Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy; his unique expertise and broad vision will undoubtedly illuminate many current topics concerning our field of inquiry. John Steiner will shed light in our ever increasing work with narcissistic patients; Anton Obholzer will broaden our clinical viewpoint by helping us understand psychoanalytically the "unconscious life" of mental health organizations and how their emotional dynamics influence our daily work as therapists. We will also count as discussants with prominent psychoanalytic psychotherapists from the EFPP, Siv Boalt Boëthius and Dimitris Anastasopoulos - President and Vice-President of the EFPP - as well as Cecilio Paniagua, renowned member of the American Psychoanalytical Association who has broad experience in American health and academic institutions. The material to be supervised will be provided by reputed members of the Spanish Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Association. We will also have the unusual opportunity to hear Steiner's and Obholzer's views on Kernberg´s supervision of a borderline patient; likewise, Kernberg and Steiner will share their opinions on Obholzer´s supervision concerning organizational dynamics, and Obholzer and Kernberg will ponder Steiner´s supervision of a narcissistic patient. During the round table, questions and reflections from the audience will be taken into consideration and discussed by the speakers. This Conference will be a great opportunity to learn from the expertise of outstanding professionals in the psychoanalytical field and to exchange views with colleagues in the always fascinating city of Seville.
